Charleston Airforce Town – Charleston, SC
This is another one I’ve just had sitting around for quite some time and never bothered to post. Its exterior only shots, so nothing too amazing. This is a small military housing subdivision over in North Charleston. There isn’t much still there, but I was able to get a few pictures of the exteriors of some of the old homes. There is also a club and a few other buildings that still stand on the site.

You post great posts Just bookmarked !!!
Who cut the grass?
The city must cut it. I believe Boeing is now possibly using part of it as a place for people to park to work on the new Boeing plant near by.
Wow that’s cool. One of my childhood friends is in the Air Force and is stationed in Charleston. Have you done any research as to why they no longer use it?? I know that if they wanted to they could get some use out of those homes. Plenty of people for it. Love your site!!!
Do you know when these were abandoned? I was in Charleston in the late 80′s early 90′s and I think these were occupied then. I may be mistaken as much of the military housing looks the same. We were Navy, the main base is gone now but the North Charleston base still operates as does Kings Bay Ga (where my husband’s submarine came & went).
i don’t know when they were abandoned but now north charleston city has a court house there and the road had been expand some and you can still see alot of old abandoned houses can’t get in them to many cops around. they are blocked of to. i now live in ohio but have watched it change alot before i moved.
